Stuff from Stephers

I used to share a blog with Melissa, but she's been MIA for a few months, so I made it all mine! Random thoughts on my every day life to bore you with.

Tummy says growl

It used to be that finding veg friendly food was difficult, but now more and more is available for those of us who remain meat-free. I found this website called Cooking Light that helps you plan menus, and it has a special option for vegetarians. It also has other fun things like work-outs and wine stuff, and then meat for all you meateterians. And you can get 2 free trial subscriptions too! At work we have some magazines laying around for down time and while reading through Eat & Drink Austin I found a few veg-friendly places I'd like to try. One place is a cajun cafe called Evangeline Cafe that has some fun meat-free options I'd like to try like an avocado po-boy or veggie gumbo. I love Louisiana but I've never had gumbo! And, last but not least is Dog Almighty, a hot dog stand type restaurant that makes everything on the menu in vegetarian options including frito pie, corn dogs, and hot dogs. I love to have options! Maybe tomorrow I'll post about all of the fun brunch places I read about!

We can definitely go to these places!! I'm super excited to try veggie gumbo and an avacado po-boy! It's down in Barbara's neck of the woods.

And Danielle I will definitely tell you about good recipes I see. I used to get Eating Well and it was pretty cool, but the recipes were all too fancy to really try to make so I'm looking forward to this.
