Stuff from Stephers

I used to share a blog with Melissa, but she's been MIA for a few months, so I made it all mine! Random thoughts on my every day life to bore you with.

I will (hand you my flowers)

Last weekend I was at Sara's wedding being her MOH. I have to say that being around her and her parents just makes you feel good because they always tell you how pretty you look and say really nice things about everything you do. I kept everyone organized, nagged the boys, and crawled under Sara's dress to fix her bustle among other things. We had a ton of fun getting our nails, hair, and make-up done. Cruising around in the limo on the other hand made us all a little motion sick. Sara was the most beautiful bride, and David was the sweetest groom switching out the ring that Sara had picked with a different one. And she found out in the ceremony so it really was a surprise. My toast seemed to go over well. However, dancing with Sara or David seemed to attract the videographer waaay too fast so there's one part where I decided to run from the guy and he chased me. I also danced with the tallest guy there who informed me among other things that he was the best kisser there and that he had a big ego and girls like that. Ha! Just a warning - don't tell a girl that the first time you ever talk to her because it didn't bode well for him. After the wedding Barbara and I wandered down to the riverwalk to find some snacks. We ended up eating a meal, and a pitcher of margaritas which we had to chug in about 45 minutes. We had to give part of it to these two guys - one Hungarian and one German. Anyhow, after getting the waiter to give us about 15 extra minutes he took what was left and we paid the nice man and went home. On a side note - it was really expensive so don't drink on the riverwalk. On the way home Barbara puked, and a cop rode by on his bike and yelled something that I couldn't tell what, but I think he thought it was funny.

Addendum: I forgot to mention that the littlest flower girl was my date most of the night. We danced the night away and at one point her mother said she'd pay me to dance with the flower girl. ha! Don't worry - I don't accept cash to dance (that would sort of make me a "dancer" right?). The next morning I went back to Sara and David's apartment to pick up my car and they took me out to lunch at this really good restaurant called La Fogata. Sara and David pick the best restaurants so if you're ever in San Antonio I'd recommend trying it out! All in all it was a fabulous weekend!

well, maid of honor hint for you - they usually hand over their flowers when they say "i will" hence the title of this blog, and that's a good way to remember it - I will, hand you my flowers.

it was the perfect ending to a perfect night :o) I can go edit it out if you'd prefer to forget. If it makes you feel better I forgot to wash the puke off of my foot before I got in bed :o)
