Stuff from Stephers

I used to share a blog with Melissa, but she's been MIA for a few months, so I made it all mine! Random thoughts on my every day life to bore you with.

Who do you call when something really good or bad happens to you? It isn't a rhetorical question - I really want to know. Is it the same person for both? Who calls you with those type of calls? It's part of a school project so I appreciate your minute of time in participation.

My (Fur)Baby

My Saffy's birthday is Friday, March 23rd!! After her contaminated dog food eating scare, I'm happy to say she'll live to see 3. OK, maybe part of it was me being the freaked out dog mom, but my dog is never that lethargic. Apparently she needed a $200 blood test to pep her up. All that extra blood weight she was carrying around or something. Or maybe when she met the Boxer with the Q-tip stuck in his ear she realized that she didn't have it so bad. Either way, she's celebrating on Friday, and then again on Saturday with Matt for his birthday :o) I got her this cute little dress as her birthday present. It will look much cuter on her than it does on this little dog cause we all know that pink on blondes is hot ;o) And you can scoff or laugh if you want, but I'm creative and fun, and I think my dog can have a birthday present if I want her to!

Swamp Water, Dirty Beer, Isar Water

Whatever you want to call it, I just found this recipe at Spirit World and it sounds yummers:

Now, exactly how much Blue Curaçao does one put in the wheat beer? Let’s start with an ounce per 12 ounces of beer. Pour the Blue Curaçao in the bottom of a wheat beer glass. Pour the wheat beer in the glass (pouring a wheat beer is an art that takes some practice, but that’s another future article). Then top the beer with a splash of apple or orange juice. This is an extremely yummy drink. So be careful. Enjoy!

I found it here if you want to read more about it.

yes, we did come back

We just got back from the much awaited bachelorette trip to New Orleans. I think that overall it was a success. Some of the better memories are: stripper names, Kenny Bell, bull riding, Lush, drinking in Walgreens, the man with the broom, the Budweiser convention, the Bud Clydesdale parade, Hustler, Cafe Du Monde, Barbara doing all her tasks - especially the boxers and the lipstick, and the list goes on. In fact, if I didn't list your favorite memory, add it in the comments.

How will YOU die?

You scored as Disappear.

Your death will be by disappearing, probably a camping trip gone wrong or an evening hike you never returned from. Always remeber that one guy who was hiking alone and got in a rock slide. He could have died, but he cut his own hand off to save himself. Don't end up like him (or worse, dead).

I hope they hired a good builder

If there's anything that could make me puke it might be this.

Guess who said it...

Guess who said these things to me today:

"Just put some in your hands and then clap over your head like a retard. Clap like you're special."

"You probably shouldn't let the kids stand on you."

"Yeah....sometimes you ARE a professional friend."

I hope it goes fast

I made it through last week, and I just have to say that I hope this week goes fast. Saturday we leave for New Orleans. I'm really excited, but also stressed because, lets face it, I'm me and that's what I do best. I know all the stressing out about every single detail will be worth it because it is going to be an awesome trip!

My name is Stephanie and I'm a cutter

I've sat around a few conversations where people talked in hushed and awwwed voices about the mysterious cutters of the world. It's really a lot more common than you think. I mean, some people are really severe with it, and I am not. No need to freak out or worry - the only thing I take blades to now is my hair. My poor hair. This is how it goes. I get really stressed out and I need some relief so I grab scissors and start chopping. I don't care what it looks like, I just like to see the chunks of hair in the trash can and the sink and all over the counter. The pretty blonde strands floating around and trickling down. Snip, snip, snip, snip....over and over until I feel better. I've done it long enough that my hair looks ok afterwards. Built up feelings of some sort and that's what helps you to not think about it or to get past it. I haven't done it in a long time until the other day. People keep telling me my hair looks good and I try to explain to them that it was in a ponytail and I ripped down a chunk and just chopped it, and then repeated again and again, and that I'm lucky it doesn't look bad. Lucky because that is not the way normal people deal with stress.
